IDsec staff have considerable hands-on experience in penetration
testing, intrusion detection and protection, product integration and
security consultancy.
|
|
|
|
|
These are brief profiles of some of our more senior technical staff.
|
|
|
With a career in IT covering more than 30 years, Ian
has over 20 years' computer security experience, and was
one of the founders of IDsec in 1997. He has a particular interest in
web application security testing and leads the company's efforts in
this area. Having acted as security manager for a large company for a
year he has experience as both gamekeeper and poacher.

|
Dave has over 10 years' experience in IT security,
having carried out penetration testing, firewall and IDS projects
for a range of customers, mostly in the finance and telecoms
areas. He comes from a background of support, development and network
management, with over 25 years in IT, and in
1997 was one of the founders of IDsec. Dave is a certified CISSP and
manages the intrusion detection area of the business.

Stephen has worked continuously in the computer
security field since 1987, with TCP/IP and penetration testing
experience dating back to 1995. He is the author of IDsec's Netwalk
and Superwalk software and an occasional contributor to several
public domain tools, with more than 50 major penetration tests to his
name.

|
As IDsec's architecture and security design
specialist, Kevin has a background in application development as well as
technical consultancy. With wide experience of firewall and network
deployment, he has also provided support for a number of penetration
testing exercises, particularly at the network level.
